GRAPE: Grammatical Algorithms in Python for Evolution

GRAPE is an implementation of Grammatical Evolution (GE) in DEAP, Evolutionary Computation framework Python, which consists the necessary classes and functions to evolve a population grammar-based solutions, while reporting essential measures. This tool was developed at Bio-computing Developmental Systems (BDS) Research Group, birthplace GE, as easy use (compared canonical C++ implementation, libGE) that inherits all advantages such selection methods, parallelism multiple search techniques, can be used with GRAPE. In this paper, we address some problems exemplify perform comparison PonyGE2, existing GE Python. The results show has similar performance, but able avail extra facilities functionality found DEAP framework. We further enables applied systems identification demonstrate on two benchmark problems.
